For instructions on how to paint or drill the mask, please refer to the details below.

-Product can be easily sanded with sand paper or other abrasives

-SmoothCast 65D series is a urethane resin, and has details to note. Heat in long amounts can cause a deformation, so please do not leave your mask in a hot car, tote or box for extended periods of time. SmoothCast 65 is impact resistant.

-Painting SmoothCast works best with acrylic paints. Our masks by default come raw, or unfinished. This means the mold is powdered to give a matte finish to allow paint to grab the surface better, but you will need to apply a few base coats to get started.

-Getting the sanded/primed version of the mask means we have applied Adhesion Promoter (SmoothOn) to allow paint to have a better ability to stay put. This may be a great option if you want to get started right away. They also advertise using Maker Pro Paints to go along with their adhesion promoter. Acrylic paints will also work and are used in shop.

-Drilled versions of the mask include the pupils removed, as well as whisker holes drilled, and the mouth opening. This allows for better visibility, less weight and more air flow.

-Hot glue may not stick to a raw surface without sanding it or scoring the material to give the glue someplace to bond. Please keep this in mind.

-If you have purchased a raw untreated cast, you may wish to give it a quick wash or wipe down with isopropyl alcohol before painting or adding an adhesion promoter.

Current Wait Time: 2 weeks or less
